Auger-Aliassime rises from 10 to 7 in JFB Ranking

(Jürgen Fritz, 14.02.2022) Felix Auger-Aliassime won the 500 tournament in Rotterdam, Reilly Opelka and Casper Ruud the 250 tournaments in Dallas and Buenos Aires. The week before Alexander Bublik won the 250 tournament in Montpellier, Albert Ramos-Vinolas the one in Cordoba and Joao Sousa in Pune. As a result, Auger-Aliassime rises from 10 to 7 in the JFB Ranking, Opelka from 24 to 18.

ATP 500 king Rublev also wins in Rotterdam

(Jürgen Fritz, 08.03.2021) Seventh tournament win since 2020. No other player on the planet has won as many ATP titles since then as Andrey Rublev. The 23-year-old Russian has reached ten singles finals in his career so far, winning eight of them – all of the last seven. After his win in Rotterdam, he rises from 5 to 3 in the ATP Race to Turin. And his match record against top ten players is the fifth best in the last 24 months.

Medvedev blunders and the Big Four remain untouched since 2005

Daniil Medvedev had the chance this week in Rotterdam to be the first to enter this sphere. All he had to do was reach the final of the C tournament. But the Russian failed in the very first round. So for the time being, the world’s No. 1 and No. 2 are only for the big four.

Daniil Medvedev hatte diese Woche in Rotterdam die Chance, als Erster in diese Sphäre vorzudringen. Er hätte nur das Endspiel des C-Turniers erreichen müssen. Doch der Russe patzte gleich in der ersten Runde. Damit bleibt es vorerst dabei: Die Nr. 1 und 2 der Welt sind nur etwas für die Großen Vier.
