Carreño Busta moves into the Top 16

In The True Tennis World Ranking, the bronze medallist from Tokyo thus rises from 26 to 16.

Baez, Cressy and Cerundolo establish themselves in the Top 50

(Jürgen Fritz, 18.07.2022) Francisco Cerundolo beat fellow Argentine Sebastian Baez in the final of the Nordea Open in Bastad, Sweden, to win his first ATP tournament. Maxime Cressy was able to defeat John Isner in the semi-finals and Alexander Bublik in the final in Newport, USA, on grass. As a result, Baez, Cressy and Cerundolo each moved up about ten places in The True Tennis World Ranking.

Nadal starts training for Wimbledon on Monday

Zverev beschimpft Schiedsrichter als „fucking idiot“, schlägt mit dem Racket auf dessen Stuhl

(Jürgen Fritz, 23.02.2022) Bilder, wie man sie im Tennissport kaum kennt, bekamen die Zuschauer am Dienstagabend in Acapulco zu sehen. Nach einem engen Ball, den der Schiedsrichter zugunsten der Doppelgegner wertete, flippte Alexander Zverev völlig aus, beschimpfte den Schiri als „fucking idiot“ und donnerte nach dem Match seinen Schläger viermal mit fast voller Kraft gegen den Stuhl, auf dem der Schiedsrichter noch saß.

Olympische Spiele in Peking: Was wir nicht zu sehen bekommen

Am Freitag, den 04.02.2022, unmittelbar vor Beginn der Spiele, wurde der an Krebs Erkrankte frühmorgens gegen 06 Uhr in seinem Haus im Stadtteil Cheung Sha Wan in Gewahrsam genommen und zum Verhör auf eine Polizeistation gebracht.
